Mi Tierra Volunteer Day: HELP US BUILD A PARK!

“Mi Tierra” (My Homeland) is a creative community urban planning initiative that will transform a 10,000 sq. ft. vacant lot into a vibrant green space for everyone to enjoy.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, WE ARE BUILDING A COMMUNITY GREEN SPACE, AND WE NEED YOU! PLEASE JOIN US SATURDAY AND SUNDAY JUNE 29TH AND 30TH, FROM 11AM-4 PM.

This project is the brainchild of Arts East NY. We aim to transform this lot into an art/sculpture garden, featuring a 6-hole miniature golf course, a stage, and a small movie screen will set the stage for cultural performances and participatory arts programming to engage children and adults in the East New York/Cypress Hills neighborhoods. With the arts functioning as the nucleus of the project, the goal is to serve as a connection that integrates active living, sustainable practices and community development in its design and use.

Please Help us by making a donation @ www. IGG.me/at/MiTierra

What really sets this park apart is that it will be funded, built, administrated by the community! Which is why we need your help need volunteers to help build the park, this is why YOU serve as the most vital part of our project. Without the help and involvement of the people within the community this is only a dream, but with YOUR help and telling others of the volunteer dates below we know we this will be one of many ‘MI TIERRA’ projects that they community can successfully make happen.

This Project is being led by Arts East NY ( www.artseastny.org
