Working to actively address the problem of police misconduct and abuse in communities of color throughout NYC. Often due to the labeling of certain areas/neighborhoods as “Impact Zones”, innocent residents are approached, stopped, frisked, and harassed by police officers without their consent or any legal justification. We offer FREE WORKSHOPS to
groups/organizations whose members are affected by this issue.

In addition to the Know Your Rights Workshop Series, we also provide free legal clinics at various times throughout the year and individual assistance to victims of police brutality/misconduct. We also have an active COPWATCH program which trains volunteers on how to legally,
effectively and safely monitor the police in their communities. Once members are trained on Copwatch procedures they become part of our program which utilizes video cameras, vehicles, outreach to engage in our community copwatch patrols.

This is the BEGINNING steps of strengthening our communities and ensuring the safety of our families and friends. Please join us and invite others to be empowered by knowledge.Image
